I have been struggling to find the words for this blog post. I think it may be one part being out of practice with this whole blog writing thing but also, this relaunch means so much more to me then just introducing my new brand. This really feels like the a pivotal moment in my business and in my life right now. I am so excited and terrified at the same time that words have completely escaped me.

In the spirit of realness, here’s the story:
A couple of years ago, after running a full time photography studio for about 4 years, I decided to scale back and go part time. It was a decision I had to make at the time to be fully present to my growing family and to pursue something I had been interested in doing for years (a story for a future blog post)! I needed a sabbatical. I didn’t know what would come from this decision or how long it would last but the timing felt right and the decision felt necessary.
I kept shooting during that down time though. I was able to work on honing my skill and developing my style thanks to my wonderful clients and colleagues in the industry that allowed me to work with them. The break gave me an opportunity to really think about the next chapter of my business and how I could continue to grow as a photographer and business owner. One thing I learned that was abundantly clear was how much I LOVE this work and it reaffirmed my desire to not only continue but to do much more of it!
I realized I wanted to create a really special experience for future wedding clients. Not just supurb photos and good customer service but I wanted to work to create a tailored experience that is focused on meeting their unique needs for the wedding day as well as capturing the authentic moments they share. I also wanted to get back to my roots in documentary and start offering families honest images of their family by spending a day or a couple hours with them. Images that capture a families authenticity and love.
I am so excited about everything that is happening for Jessica Pegg Photography. It has been a labor of love to get this website together and launch the new look but I am so excited to be introducing it to the world. I hope you enjoy your visit and I look forward to the opportunity to photograph your wedding or you family when you are ready!
